Colaboraciones en VJ-ing o VideoMezclas
"ALBUREZ Returns!” is a VJ performance event that took place on April 30, 2015 in downtown Albuquerque, NM. This performance was part of “Re-Mix Culture,” a collaborative course and performance project in Spring 2015 with art students from both of University of New Mexico (UNM) and Universidad Autónoma de Ciudad Juárez (UACJ). The course, led by Szu-Han Ho and Gabriela Durán Barraza, centered around the concept of the “remix” as a framework for understanding cross-border and cross-cultural relationships. Students produced artworks using the medium of VJing (live mixing of video) as a way to generate dialogue, to exchange material, and to improvise together.

The title “Alburez" is a mash-up of the names of our two cities, Albuquerque and Juárez. An “albur” in Spanish refers to a double entendre, chance, or fate.
